the historic restaurant from San Vittore in Milano Marittima

If the summer season does not seem to be taking off at the moment, on the contrary the new business in Milano Marittima “Ristorante Cerina sul Mare”, launched last week at Bagno Samuele 275, is taking off. A union between sea and land, “relocating” its roots to the coast and offering its customers the same family philosophy shown in the historic business in San Vittore. It is a stimulating adventure for a story that began in 1965, when Alba Veneti and Alberto Dallara, together with their grandmother Cerina (who gave the restaurant its name), took over the Cesarina tavern, in the center of San Vittore, and with the young daughters Lalla, Rosanna and Graziella launched what was then a full-fledged tavern, a place where, in addition to eating, the afternoons were spent in front of a glass of wine and a game of cards. Ten years later, in 1975, the restaurant was born and there was the transfer to today’s premises. In the 1980s, the wood-fired oven for pizzas was added and the menu was enriched with many dishes based on vegetables, cheeses and typical cured meats, such as blackberry cured meats from Romagna, squacquerone and Fossa di Sogliano cheese. Starting from the second half of the Eighties, the fourth generation of the Dallara family took turns in the various roles of the business: Davide, Andrea, Roberta, Piergiorgio, Vincenzo, Alessia and Sara.

The adventure by the sea

«Being able to express our idea of familiarity with seaside cuisine had always been a bit of a dream of ours and we are very happy now to be able to make it come true. After Covid, in the summer we began to close our restaurant in San Vittore: in the hot season people preferred locations by the sea and the numbers were no longer the same. This year we started the new business in Milano Marittima. The location might scare “traditional” customers a little, but in reality we wanted to maintain the same values transmitted to “Cerina”, which is a brand that has caught on for years and there are many Cesena customers willing to follow us even in Milano Marittima. We also hope for a good influx from the many tourists who flock to our coast. In addition to the fish dishes, which cannot be missing at the seaside and the fresh chitarrine with clams which are the most popular, our land dishes, rigorously homemade, of the Romagna tradition, could not be missing. In our maritime restaurant we thought of also transferring the idea of a cocktail bar, as already happens in San Vittore, to provide the customer with a complete service, combining the chosen dish with the best cocktail”.

“Cerina sul mare” offers the possibility of getting together even just to have a drink in company during aperitif time, with the cocktail bars present in the internal and external parts of the restaurant.

«There are several hotels in Milano Marittima that only offer a bed and breakfast or half board service and this is an additional input for activities in the restaurant sector», says Alessia Torri, owner of the business.
