Beppe Zaoli’s announcement: “A competitor who carried the colors of our club high”

Valter Enrico Pizzoli’s passing was announced in the last few hours by Beppe Zaoli, president of the Sanremo Yacht Club and a great friend of Pizzoli: “Valter will be remembered as a capable and passionate racer who carried the colors of our club high” he wrote on the Sanremo Yacht Club page, posting a photo of him with Pizzoli during an awards ceremony.

Valter Pizzoli, law degree in Padua, Master’s in Economics in Milan and a brilliant career in the world of finance, between Switzerland and Lombardy (he was also registered in the Varese bar association) had owned a firm since the 1990s of legal and tax consultancy which bore his name in Lugano. Over the years, his son Andrea joined the firm on a permanent basis: in 2013 they together founded a company specializing in financial consultancy and management which still operates today.

The passion for sailing has always accompanied him. There have also been many successes in recent years, such as winning the Trophèe Grimaldi in 2022 with Les Amies, a boat of which he was the owner. In the past there were also great successes with his other boat, Ange Trasparent 2, with which as bearer of the Monaco Yacht Club and the Sanremo Yacht Club, he won the super combined Rolex Giraglia.
