Gianluca Farinelli leaves the presidency of Rome Film Festival after two years. The official announcement comes from the Capitoline mayor, Roberto Gualtieri, who in a note thanks him “for what he was able to give to the Rome Film Festival during his mandate”. “With competence and passion – declares the mayor – Gianluca has guaranteed a fundamental contribution to consolidate and strengthen the success of an event which has once again involved the entire city with different tastes and multiple languages, showing himself sensitive to innovations and capable of intelligently valorising our film industry.”
Mayor Gualtieri proposes Salvo Nastasi
“To continue this virtuous path, I will propose to the Board of Founders in place of Farinelli as the new president of the board of directors of the Fondazione Cinema per Roma Salvo Nastasi – adds Gualtieri – whose great experience touches numerous strategic areas for the cinema sector, from the artistic ones – cultural to legal ones. I am sure that with Nastasi’s presidency we will continue in the growth and cultural enrichment of the Festival as well as in overcoming the many challenges that await cinema, from the vastness of the productions and platforms in the field, up to the advent of ‘artificial intelligence,’ he concludes.
