According to an initial reconstruction of the facts, for reasons yet to be ascertained, a mini excavator would have overturned and the man who was operating it would have been injured. The unfortunate man was along the railway and was carrying out work on the Agrigento – Palermo, along the provincial road 15C.
Following the report of the accident, the Carabinieri intervened on site to carry out the necessary investigations and the 118 operators to rescue the injured person. The worker was transferred to the San Giovanni di Dio hospital in Agrigento for treatment. It seems that, fortunately, his life is not in danger.
The tragedy of Scicli
Another workplace accident that occurred in Scicliin the province of Ragusa: a worker, fell from the roof of a shed while carrying out a repair for an agricultural company located in the Currumeli/Bommacchia Donnalucata district last November, died after several months of agony in hospital.
