Veneto: the 2025-2027 tourism strategic plan is underway

Veneto tourism strategic plan 2025-2027. Launch of the participatory process with tourism councilor, “The new tourism vision will be transversal and will have to respond to new challenges.

The Tourism Councilor of the Veneto Region

“Sustainable quality, governance, destinations, brand, pervasive innovation, business and work, models and products. These are the guidelines on which we will focus during the discussion that will lead to the drafting of the new Strategic Plan for Veneto Tourism, which will outline the critical issues and future strategies of what, with 18 billion in turnover, is the leading regional industry.

This third edition of the plan will take us to 2027 with a clear vision on tourism scenarios and governance, thanks to the commitment and sharing of the entire sector supply chain. Today we are faced with numerous challenges, from digital, with which we must deal, from the topic of artificial intelligence for innovative management of destinations, to the valorisation of human capital with necessary and adequate investments in staff training and to create new appeal to work in tourism. The Regional Strategic Plan is the basis for building the future of Veneto, not only in the tourism sector. It is the trigger that will ignite a whole series of reflections on transversal areas, but which indirectly constitute the strength of the regional tourist offer and its growth”.

Thus the Tourism Councilor of the Veneto Region opened today in Venice, at Palazzo Grandi Stazioni, the new participatory path that will lead to the drafting of the third Strategic Plan for Veneto Tourism, which follows the 2018-2021 and 2022 Plans in chronological order -2024, which implemented the Annual Tourism Plans.

Tourism: the dialogue starts from Venice

At today’s kick off meeting, the launch event which officially kicks off the reprogramming of the tourism strategies of the Veneto and in which the members of the control room participated and together with the representatives and stakeholders of the tourism industry of the Veneto, will follow the thematic and itinerant working tables for five overall sessions, in Venice (25-26 June), Treviso (9-10 July) and Padua (23-24 July).

The overall plan, shared with chairpersons, table participants and the control room, must be approved by the regional council (approximately by the end of September/beginning of October), and subsequently presented and officially adopted by the regional council.
