There Booksellers’ Street 2024 continues its journey. After the road edition, now in its ninth year, the event continues right in the heart of Cassaro, with a new initiative that recalls the themes that marked the event.
In fact, on Thursday 20 June, at 6.00 pm, in the atrium of the Pontifical Theological Faculty of Sicily, in via Vittorio Emanuele 463, the exhibition “Press (again) with serene strength – 100 years of Danilo Dolci” will be inaugurated, a collection of images photographs edited by Valentina Di Miceli in dialogue with Sweet friend.
The initiative is promoted by the Regional Department of Cultural Heritage and the Central Library of the Sicilian Region “Alberto Bombace” of Palermo on a project by Significa Palermo ETS in collaboration with the Center for Creative Development “Danilo Dolci”.
«The “Cassaro Alto” and “La Via dei Librai” associations continue to refer to the thought and concrete work of Danilo Dolci in the Sicilian territory even in the centenary of their birth, as an example of active citizenship and commitment to the development of community” explain Giulio Pirrotta of the “La Via dei librai” Committee and Giovanna Analdi, president of the “Cassaro Alto” association.
The exhibition will be open every day from 9.00 to 19.00 until 20 July. Entrance is free.
