Rome, 17 June 2024 – TheNational Consumers Union made known the top 10 of the most expensive cities in Italy, based on territorial data provided by Istat on May inflation. The ranking takes into account the regional capitals and the municipalities that register more than 150 thousand inhabitants. The top 10 Italian cities

In second place Campobasso (-0.5%, -104 euros), followed by Ancona (-0.2%, -44 euros).

At the top of the ranking of the most “expensive” regions, with annual inflation at +1.3%, the Veneto which records an average burden per family equal to 324 euros every year. The Swiss cities of Zurich, Geneva and Basel they complete the top five and are immediately followed by the capital Bern, in sixth place. Below we find New York, London, Nassau (capital of the Bahamas) e Los Angeles, tenth. Special mention goes to the English capital which has clearly moved up the ranks, gaining nine positions since last year. London has jumped to the top of the list thanks to factors such as the general cost of living and rent prices, according to the authors of the ranking.
