In the conference room of the beautiful cultural center of the Carivit Foundation there was the presentation of the works of the artist Luciano Ventrone, who passed away in 2021. Those present were: the Mayor of the Municipality of Viterbo Chiara Frontini, the Councilor for Beauty and Monuments Vittorio Sgarbi , the president of the Carivit Foundation Luigi Pasqualetti and Sandra Sileoni of Sanpaolo. Frontini said: “Viterbo is focusing on culture and tourism as prospects for the development of the territory. At the same time, the city is the leader of a series of projects of the European Regional Development Fund on which 18 million euros of resources depend to be allocated to urban transformation, above all to carry out interventions in the historic center which will also result in the valorisation of important public spaces. Being able to host the exhibition of an artist of Luciano Ventrone’s caliber represents an opportunity that makes us proud. We hope for important feedback for this initiative which will remain available throughout the summer. For us it represents an opportunity to raise the level of the tourist offer. The exhibition “Luciano Ventrone, the painter of hyperbole” is dedicated to the Roman artist who passed away in 2021, whose works are particular for the choice of subjects and for the selection of the treatment of color and light. A very strong artificial light that is the absolute protagonist, illuminating “more” scenes; true of the truth”, of a truth perfected even in its imperfections.
