I am writing to you in response to your latest article entitled “Christian Stocchi is the most voted mayor in the history of the province of Parma. Colorno is renamed Stocchistan”, an article which must be recognized as having aroused considerable interest within the city of Colorno.
So I take the liberty of replying to you since you quote me. And I hope you will forgive the tu… but given our now consolidated knowledge it would seem hypocritical to me to use the “she”.

There are several points in your article, certainly well written, which in my opinion seem misleading. For convenience I’ll go by points:
1) You say that Stocchi is the most voted mayor in the history of the province of Parma. Honestly it seems like a bit of a stretch. To remain in Colorno in ’95 D. Conti won with 71% of the votes but with a turnout of 85%, unlike Christian who won with 77% of an electorate which however stopped at 57% (almost 30 points in less). It’s very different! In real terms Conti ended up with 3596 votes, almost 800 votes more (among other things in a challenge with three lists, not two like the last one) [Nota del direttore: Simone, è evidente che se si vuole paragonare il risultato del sindaco Stocchi a Colorno con quello di altri Comuni (dai 7.000 ai 200.000 abitanti come Parma città) bisogna per forza considerare la percentuale elettorale, non i voti assoluti. Trovo poi poco significativo il riferimento all’affluenza al voto rispetto a 20 anni fa (un’era geologica in politica), considerato il noto trend di progressiva riduzione del numero dei votanti in tutta Italia, non a Colorno nello specifico]. If, however, we want to get closer in time, we can remember that in 2021 a mayor very politically distant from me like Fiazza in Fontevivo won with 77.66% equal to 2,201 votes in a municipality that has around 3000 fewer inhabitants than Colorno. [Nota del direttore: Come scritto nel mio articolo nella comparazione si fa riferimento a Comuni sopra i 7.000 abitanti, range nel quale Stocchi è risultato essere in percentuale (77%) il sindaco più votato della storia della provincia di Parma. Nei piccoli Comuni, sopratutto di montagna, abbiamo assistito a vittorie con l’80%]. Instead, in my opinion, it would be more useful to question the reasons for this drop in turnout…
