COSENZA – “The terrible story of our fellow citizen Barbara De Grazia does not leave us indifferent. The lady was deprived of her home through deception by some individuals who were then arrested during the Reset operation conducted by the DDA of Catanzaro.
In particular, Andrea Mantella – writes the Prendocasa Cosenza Committee in a note – would have cheated Mrs. De Grazia and her son, taking away their property without paying the agreed sum and forcing them to live in an institution for four years. To all intents and purposes, this is an act of abuse and violence. This story does not surprise us because we know well the inability of Palazzo dei Bruzi to offer answers to the needs of people from Cosenza who experience difficult conditions. In fact there is administrative continuity in the welfare sector, whether it is centre-right or centre-left the reality we live in gets worse day by day. There is no planning and investment on the horizon for social housing, the management of which continues to represent a mystery. What prevails – continues the committee – is the usual clientelistic logic. We hope and strongly ask for decisive action from Mayor Caruso and the buffoon councilor. It is necessary and urgent to intervene to try to put an end to this umpteenth page of shame that Mrs. De Grazia has courageously made public.”
