Another return. But, this time too, there may not be yellow-blue in his future. Abdul Guiebre, 27 years old on July 17th, was not redeemed by Bari where he went on loan last January and is therefore currently back at Modena’s disposal. A particular story is that of the Burkina Faso international, a representative team in which he also played in the last African Cup of Nations. Arriving in the shadow of Ghirlandina, coming from Monopoli, in August 2022, in the intentions of the yellow-blue club he should have been the natural replacement for Paulo Azzi, who at that moment seemed to be leaving for Serie A, with Spezia and Atalanta as probable destinations.
Instead, in the end, the Italian-Brazilian remained (not too happy) in the canary and therefore Guiebre, due to problems of overabundance in the list, was loaned to Reggiana. His excellent season beyond Secchia, in which he played an undisputed leading role in the Granata’s promotion to Serie B (34 appearances and 2 goals), made him return to the Gialloblu a year ago with legitimate ambitions for both him and the fans. But even in the last championship the relationship never took off completely: more comfortable as a winger in the three-man defense compared to the four-man defense that Bianco had adopted at the beginning of the tournament, Guiebre managed to carve out very little space for himself, making around ten appearances without making too much of an impact, so much so that in January (ironically, just when Bianco began playing as a three-man), he was loaned to Bari. And here we return to the beginning of our story; the Burkina Faso player, in a troubled season like never before for the Galletti, with constant changes of coach with the associated risk of relegation (averted only after the playouts with Ternana), played slowly, collecting only four tokens. At the moment, therefore, Abdoul Guiebre is once again a Modena player. We will see what the developments will be in the near future, if once again it will be a short-term one or if Bisoli will want to evaluate it in the next training camp in Fanano. However, all this not before July, when the summer transfer campaign will start.
