The indisputable fact that Messina has weighed so little on the total share assigned to our city out of the total of 6 billion and 862 million euros that the Meloni Government has foreseen for Sicily, in agreement with the President of the Region, is a cause for debate and also concern. President Schifani himself was opposed and even publicly mocked by Cateno De Luca, mayor of Taormina and leader of the mayor of Messina Federico Basile. If Messina will receive “only” 457 million euros For few works eligible for fundingit is also largely due to isolation policy adopted by Cateno De Luca and from the South calls North towards the Regional and National Government.
