With the first warm weather and the large influx of people on the Roman coast, the day before yesterday afternoon there was a daring rescue of two adults who were drowning by some lifeguards and swimmers on the beach near the sanctuary of Nettuno.
This afternoon, on the same beach, lifeguard Emanuele Fiorentino together with other collaborators had to intervene to rescue a woman, who was subsequently taken to hospital, and two other people who were losing consciousness in the rough sea offshore.
Tragedy instead in Anzio, on the free beach of Lido Garda, where a 66-year-old man from Lanuvio drowned. Some boys who were swimming nearby managed to save their partner, who was with him. Unfortunately, the man passed away. The body was taken by the mortuary agency to the Tor Vergata Polyclinic for the necessary examinations. The 118 health workers who arrived on site could not help but confirm the death of the 66-year-old.
The entire community of Lanuvio rallied around the well-known family of the surveyor Alfredo Baccarini, well known in the city. He leaves behind five children and his partner.
