A Sunday with gray skies does not come close to the sensation of a summer that has now blossomed, even more so if the place where the clouds hide the blue sky is Torre Faro, the seaside village most loved by young people.
Yesterday at 6pm the 2024 summer pedestrian area took off, more correctly called Ztl, limited traffic area, given that it is far from integral with the fishing village and follows a straight axis, never circular even where at its entrance it crosses the Cavallaro and dell’Angelo squares. The novelty is that of the cameras being installed, to monitor the flows and arrive, one day, at the real island, with entrances and exits of cars authorized with modern technologies. Today we are content to enhance the walks in front of the church, and then from the intersection with via Rando along via Torre up to the exit of the Pozzo Giudeo descent, where it stops so that shuttles and cars from the Torri Morandi car park descend towards the waterfront. And then again along the coastal via Fortino up to the intersection with via Barresi, from which vehicles enter the true international landscape paradise: the Punta di Sicilia with the Pilone, the former Seafliht and the Horcynus Orca Park. Here we are welcomed by the news of the day: directly on the mega beach, the removable small beach soccer stadium, with its metal stands and yellow goals waiting for goals and challenges.
