Union Valdôtaine: Joël Farcoz is the president of the new course. You obtained 324 votes at the extraordinary Congress which today, Sunday the 16th, in Saint-Vincent sanctioned the return to the mother house of many of the former unionists. He will be joined in the vice presidency by Patrizia Morelli (formerly Alliance) and the treasurer Michel Savin.
He defeated the other candidate to lead the Mouvement by a large margin Daniele De Giorgis which obtained 113 votes. She showed up as a team with Pierre Bonel And Thierry Rosset.
No barriers
«The Union Valdôtaine must be a political movement with the ambition indicated by the protagonists of the reunification of 1976, who invited it to speak to all Aosta Valley residents, without erecting barriers. The Union Valdôtaine therefore has the duty to address itself, even today, to the new generations as well as to all those who have come to work and live in Valle d’Aosta, and who want to actively participate in the realization of the Mouvement”.
The sections
Look at the sections that «have always been the pillar of the Mouvement, constituting the true expression of federalism on the territory. The dynamism must be restored to the sections not only in terms of internal discussion, but also with moments of training and debate, which could find an extra-municipal dimension”.
Presence in the territories: «it means making people aware of the principles at which the political action of the Union Valdôtaine aims and sharing with them the actions to be carried out in the interest of the Aosta Valley. Participation at all levels in the political life of the Mouvement is a crucial aspect of being present and active in the area. A plural Movement must be capable, within itself, of integrating different generations, women, young people, those who are politically engaged or not, giving them the opportunity to express themselves according to each one’s specific abilities and skills. The creation of thematic commissions, for example, as foreseen by the statutes, allows supporters and members to directly engage in the study of specific dossiers”.
The future
He then takes a look at the future: «In 2025 the Aosta Valley people will be called upon to renew the Valle Council and most of the municipal administrations. The Union Valdôtaine will have to be ready because these elections will be crucial. However, the action of our reconstituted Mouvement does not end with these elections: the objective is to give the Union Valdôtaine the organization and strength necessary to achieve all medium and long term objectives, including the election of two autonomist parliamentarians in 2027 and, then, an autonomist European deputy in Strasbourg in 2029″.
