Gender violence, two precautionary measures – Teramo

TERAMO. With the start of the summer season, the Carabinieri of the Teramo provincial command have intensified controls throughout the province.
Among the latest activities reported by the command in a note sent yesterday to the press, two concern the scourge, unfortunately far from extinct, of gender violence. The Carabinieri of Bellante have carried out an order of removal from the family home and ban on approaching the offended party, issued by the investigating judge of the Teramo court, against a 51-year-old Italian man, under investigation for repeated mistreatment of his wife of one year younger. The Carabinieri of Giulianova subjected a 39-year-old, also Italian, to house arrest, upon order of the Teramo court, for multiple violations of the ban on approaching the offended party. The man had been removed from the family home for mistreatment of his 34-year-old wife.
The other activities led to the arrest of two Italian spouses, 39 years old, already subject to a residence ban in the municipality of Roseto degli Abruzzi. The order to replace the current measure with that of precautionary custody in prison was issued by the investigating judge of the Teramo court following a report from the Roseto carabinieri, who promptly documented the multiple violations committed by the spouses, connected to the residence ban. Also in Roseto, the soldiers of the local station subjected a 62-year-old Italian man to home detention on the orders of the surveillance court of L’Aquila, having to serve nine months of imprisonment for the crime of simple bankruptcy.
At Controguerra the Carabinieri of the Corropoli station sent a 58-year-old Italian man to prison for having repeatedly violated the alternative measure to detention to which he was subjected. The measure of detention in prison was issued by the Pescara Surveillance Office.
Finally, in Giulianova, the police from the mobile radio unit caught a 42-year-old Italian, who was also subject to the oral warning prevention measure, driving a car even though he did not have a driving license as it was revoked. The car was seized and the man was handed over in a state of freedom to the competent judicial authority for driving without a license with recidivism of a person subjected to personal prevention measures.(red.te)
