Paolo Cannone is the new president of the Lions Club of Viterbo. An evening full of emotions that took place last Friday 14 June, at Villa San Michele, setting of the traditional “passage of the Bell”, symbol of the handover of the Viterbo Lions Club between the outgoing president (Francesco Cima) and the incoming one (Paolo Cannon).

“The thanks also go to Cima from all the members of the Club for this past year while to Paolo Cannone the heartfelt wishes for a new year marked by the values ​​that have always distinguished the Lions: demonstrating, with the excellence of the works and the diligence of work, the seriousness of the vocation to serve”, concludes the club note.

President Cima greeted the guests and the authorities, including the newly elected European deputy Antonella Sberna and the mayor Chiara Frontini, present for a quick greeting, who congratulated the assiduous and precious presence in the area of ​​a reality like that of the Lions Club, which has always pursued a single and important objective: solidarity. The evening continued with the usual convivial event enhanced by the presence of the architect Raffaele Ascenzi who, with his collaborators, presented the new Macchina di Santa Rosa to the members and their guests which will be paraded through the streets of the city on September 3rd.

At the end of the evening, the handover took place between Francesco Cima and Paolo Cannone who greeted those present with a short inauguration speech: “With your help, with your presence, with your participation we will be bearers of the highest ideals of Lionism in Viterbo, in the territory we represent. It will be easy with your recommendations, suggestions and resolutions to elevate the themes dear to Lions, complete the services we have underway and create new ones. I will be true to my motto: Numquam provocatio nimis magna erit/No challenge will ever be too great. Thanks to Francesco Cima who, with his patient work, has been able to stay close to me in these days, immediately pushing me towards new enthusiasm and renewed resolutions. I am proud of the high sense of duty that he calls me to represent all of you and the Viterbo club ””.
