Trentino places two athletes in the top 10 at the 74th edition of the Squillario Trophy

After the success achieved last year with Alessio Magagnotti, the Student Representative of the Trento Committee of the Federciclismo returned to collect good results on the Piedmontese roads of Piatto, scene of the 73rd Squillario Trophy.
This time the victory didn’t come, but the boys led by technicians Nico Pasini and Ivan Occoffer still made their mark.

The Trentino selection achieved a double top 10 in the Biella classic for under 16s, staged on a 74.7 kilometer route, characterized by a flat first circuit and a more challenging second route (to be repeated nine times), with a climb to face on each lap.

It was an elimination race and the challenge for victory was a small group of about fifteen athletes. In the decisive sprint the Venetian Lorenzo Campagnolo came out on top, with the Trentinos Cristian Dandrea and Gianluca Archetti ninth and tenth, doing well to secure a place in the top 10 in a particularly selective race.

Good performance also for the first year Davide Zanei, 13th, while Federico Occoffer was knocked out by a puncture.
