“For a handful of clicks”, the new book by the Legnano journalist Stefano Morelli

Stefano Morelli, professional journalist since 2003 and journalistic consultant, once again a protagonist in local literature with the book “For a handful of clicks”. After the first investigation on digital information “News vs Italy. Story of a comparison”, published in 2020, Morelli wanted to address the world of information that is changing quickly, perhaps too much.

«The data on budgets, advertising investments and clicks say a lot. But they don’t say everything – so Stefano in his comment today at the presentation, moderated by his colleague and friend Paolo Girotti -. We must observe, with perseverance and patience, the daily activity of newspapers, i.e. what they actually publish, what news they offer to readers. What, in short, is the information diet that newspapers and journalists “feed” to citizens, to try to delve into the crisis of authority of the Italian press, which risks seriously compromising not the stability of the editorial groups, but of journalism as an institution.”

«I wanted to take a journey through the distortions of Italian information, of journalistic carelessness, of the reputational crisis of the “profession” and of the very serious risks that we are contributing to worsening», the conclusion between a group of friends and readers fond of his transparency and sincerity in addressing topics that are so current in modern communication.
