Viali: “I’m leaving Cosenza. But this time I didn’t choose, I had to adapt to other people’s choices”

It is now known that an agreement had already been reached for the early termination of the contract, following the farewell of Sporting Director Roberto Gemmi. Mister William Viali, a few months after his return, will leave Cosenza, probably with Reggiana management, given that there is already a general agreement between the parties; but the call from the Emilians was not the reason that led the coach to choose to change sides, and it is Viali himself who clarifies what his situation currently is.
It does so through an open letter addressed to the rossoblù fans, and distributed by the editorial staff of the tifocosenza.it portal:

“I made a mistake once and I took all my responsibilities and, perhaps, those of others too. I returned, taking risks, to a difficult situation in order to regain everyone’s trust. We managed, thanks to a special alchemy, to recreate that great enthusiasm that brought us one step away from the playoffs.
In my head that alchemy made up of people who exalt each other had to be the basis for planning a great season. Unfortunately in the last 20 days, even though we were preparing the pre-season retreat, including friendlies, convinced that we were continuing a technical project in which we believed a lot, it was decided to change it. So, to be precise, this time I didn’t choose, but I had to adapt to other people’s choices.
I could explain many other steps that led me, despite myself, to this choice, but that is not the intent of this message. I just wanted to greet everyone with a little more clarity.
Thank you Cosenza”.
