The Tuscany gay pride in Lucca becomes a political case. The last word will be up to the prefecture which, together with the Lucca police headquarters, will have to evaluate the compatibility of the event with the initiatives already planned in the city in a special safety table and give the committee the final green light. Meanwhile, the mayor of Lucca says he is unfamiliar with the messages against gay pride spread by the extremist movement and underlines that his opposition concerns the chosen period and not the holding of the demonstration in the city. The objective is once again to raise the level of the clash. This is also why citizens no longer go to vote.”
