Plane bound for Turin takes off from Crotone and lands in Lamezia Terme

Start from here. From one of the many ironic but also bitter social comments linked to the sad almost everyday life that unfortunately is experienced and endured at the Sant’Anna airport in Crotone: “new Ryanair Crotone / Lamezia route inaugurated. Flight duration approximately 60 minutes, go by car first…”. And it is no coincidence that in the comment in question, Lamezia is mentioned, and inevitably its airport where, last Friday evening, a plane that took off from Crotone at 6.40 pm for Turin, due to a technical problem with the wings, decided to land in Lamezia Terme. The passengers go down to the ground, and before being able to board another aircraft, they spend several irritated and bewildered hours waiting, concluding their ordeal only at the first light of dawn yesterday, with the longed-for arrival at the airport of Turin at 5.00 in the morning. In short, a nightmare evening and night, with the hope of being able to get to Turin as soon as possible. At the end of this sad story, which unfortunately always negatively affects Crotone and its airport, a flight to Turin lasted “only” 11 hours. An Odyssey. It is normal and legitimate to continue to ask ourselves the reason for all this, and why inconveniences of every kind and nature almost always occur in Crotone. Political “sabotage”? An unpleasant situation that now leads many people to leave directly from Lamezia Terme, preferring an hour by car but the plane leaving, and leaving on time.
