Sassari. Tomorrow afternoon at 6pm the ExMa.Ter, the old slaughterhouse in via Zanfarino – piazza Conte di Moriana opens its gates to the public for the first time. The occasion will be a musical happening dedicated to the presentation of the opera “Falso betray” by Marco Tutino, which will be performed in Italian for the first time, at the Comunale di Sassari on 28 and 30 June.
The ExMa.Ter is the new “Campus of arts and entertainment”, one of the operational headquarters of the “Mario Sironi” Academy of Fine Arts. The name was chosen by the late director of the Academy, Antonio Bisaccia, who clarified: «It is a reference to the Latin mother. A name that indicates a place of regeneration, the opposite of what it was before, a place of death.”
Monday’s event is organized by the Concert Authority in collaboration with the Academy. The evening was created to tell the story of the genesis of the lyrical and scenographic project currently being set up at the Teatro Comunale. The artistic director of the Ente Alberto Gazale will dialogue with the public and with the cast of the opera (who will be present in full). Among the guests are the author Marco Tutino, Beatrice Venezi, who will conduct the Institute’s Orchestra, the world-famous director Hugo De Ana, the screenwriter Luca Rossi, the choir director Francesca Tosi and the soloists of the cast.
The meeting, with free admission while places last, will open with greetings from the president of the “Marialisa de Carolis” Concert Authority Antonello Mattone, the president of the Academy Giorgio Auneddu and the director Daniele Dore. From 5.30 pm, a guided tour of the structure will be organized for all interested parties.
