A day with unexpected results in the “Errebi Mobility” team padel championship. On Monday 10th at Asti Padel for the Men’s Pro category Abdominal managed to win 2-1 against I Puntazos, after forcing them to a tie-break in the third set and sealing the victory with the final 7-0. On the other field, a good challenge between Arena Padel Team and FTP Soc. Coop. which however sees the former triumph in the first two sets and only give in in the last, but with a final 2-1 which projects them into third place alone.
In the same facility, but on the following evening, we witnessed the first of the two meetings between the Elite teams of the men’s championship, namely the one between Dama Work Solution and Cisterna Padel Club which ended 2-1 with 29 games played. The other Elite match was instead postponed to Thursday 13th, the evening in which the hosts Asti Padel won 2-1 over the reigning ATP champions of Format srl, capable of obtaining a draw in the second set with the result of 7 -5 but they give up in the last minute losing 6-0.
The men’s group ended on Friday 14th at Waya Padel with yet another 3-0 victory for the A-Team, this time over the hosts Imppensabili, and with the first victory for Icecebois who finally defeated the curse of “killer-points” ” and take home a good 2-1 against Jolly Ludic CSI.
While the Regular Season is halfway through for the Men’s category, the first round of the season for the Mixed Elite category has concluded. Wednesday 12th at the Via Gerbi facility Chiquita Team doesn’t miss the opportunity and beats Crumpets 3-0 for the temporary lead in the standings with 8 points. A record that lasts less than twenty-four hours because the following evening, at the Valenzani Padel club, Beverly Hills 14100 gets rid of DB Padel with a triple 6-2 which translates into 9 overall points in the rankings.
The Giovani Dentro pay the forced stop due to a rest period and are placed in third place with 7 points, while a little further back we find Crumpets with 4 points and therefore DB Padel with 2, still looking for their first victory.
The return will begin in the next round: on Monday 17th DB Padel will face Chiquita Team while Giovani Dentro will attempt to overtake in the match against Beverly Hills. The Crumpets will have to wait another week before going back into the “cage”.
In the men’s category, a fiery Friday is expected at Waya, where the match between the first of the A-Team class and the sixth Format srl will take place, for what will in effect be the re-edition of the Asti Padel Teams final held less than three months ago and which saw the latter triumph after a regular season dominated by the Argentinians ex-Russo Auto.
