In Varese, two cars collided on Provincial Road 1, involving five people including a 12-year-old child; There were no serious injuries, but the accident caused significant traffic disruption

VARESE – This morning a road accident occurred in Varese which caused concern among the inhabitants of the area. A few minutes before 11, two vehicles collided while traveling along Provincial 1 of the lake, in a stretch known for being particularly busy and characterized by a series of treacherous curves. The impact occurred between Schiranna roundabout and that of Ronchi climba spot already known for frequent accidents and slowdowns.

The impact was violent and required the prompt intervention of rescuers. The operations center of the Regional Emergency Urgency Agency (Areu), always ready to respond to emergencies in the area, sent two yellow code ambulances to the site of the accident, reporting a medium urgency situation. This code indicates that the people involved may have conditions that require rapid medical intervention, but are not immediately life-threatening.

The ambulances, which arrived quickly on the scene, rescued a total of five people. Among them, unfortunately, also a a minor of only twelve years of age, who was in one of the cars involved in the accident. The presence of a child obviously increased the concern of the rescuers and the people present.

From the initial information gathered at the scene, it appears that none of the individuals involved suffered serious injuries. However, one of the people involved was transported to the emergency room with a green code, indicative of minor trauma. The others involved were treated directly on site for minor injuries, such as bruises and small cuts, but it was not necessary to admit them to hospital.

The accident inevitably caused significant disruption to road traffic in both directions of travel. Motorists had to deal with long queues and slowdowns, which caused quite a few inconveniences, especially at an already congested time of day.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the accident could have been caused by a distraction or a maneuvering error, but further investigations will be necessary to confirm this hypothesis. The police are examining the testimonies of those present and the evidence collected on site to determine exactly how the events happened and whether there is any responsibility to be attributed.
