Ancona is preparing for Marche Pride 2024 set for Saturday 22 June.
The event’s motto is “Loud & Proud. Proud to be”. The event presents itself not only as an opportunity for meeting and affirmation for the LGBTIQ+ community but also as a moment of profound reflection on the meaning of equality, freedom and identity.
The meeting point for the participants in the procession will be at the Passetto/Monument to the Fallen at 4.00 pm. Here it will be possible to purchase the gadgets, the proceeds of which will contribute to the financing of the initiative. Departure is scheduled for around 4.45pm.
Marche Pride includes the main associations that deal with the rights and protection of LGBTQIA+ people in the regional territory. Last year it was held in Civitanova Marche. The procession returns to the Doric city which hosted the first edition in 2019. The general secretary of Arcigay Matteo Marchegiani hypothesized the presence of around 4 thousand people.
