Nicola Palma, born in 2004 in Giugliano, was arrested because he was strongly suspected of having committed three robberies: one at the post office in Capodrise, a betting center in Cesa and the popular credit bank in Piazza Gramsci in Giugliano. For the robbery of the Giugliano bank he was immediately released, but the judge of the North Naples court left him in prison in Poggioreale for the other two robberies.
After the 4-year prison sentence, at the request of the lawyer Luigi Poziello of the Bar of Naples North, he was granted house arrest at his home in Giugliano, with the electronic bracelet, despite the contrary opinion of the public prosecutor.

Three members of a criminal gang who spread panic among the businesses in the Aversa area were arrested. At least three attacks were attempted, one of which was successful: one at the post office in Capodrise, a betting center in Cesa and the popular credit bank in Piazza Gramsci in Giugliano.
Attack on post offices, betting centers and banks: three very young people from Giugliano arrested
Those who ended up in trouble were Nicola Palma, born in 2004, from Giugliano, Carlo Di Marino, born in 2004, Villaricca (then later exonerated thanks to an anthropometric assessment), and Antonio Maione, born in 2003, from Giugliano. The men of the NOR of the Aversa Company carried out the detention order against them, at the request of the Public Prosecutor at the Court of Naples North.
According to the reconstruction of the investigators, they attempted to attack the Capodrise post office on May 9th, only to be chased away by the director and the screams of the employees. A few days later, on May 13, they tried to burgle a betting center in Cesa, in Via del Caravaggio, armed with a gun. Also in this case they were put to flight thanks to the resistance offered by the employees of the commercial activity.
The only successful attack, on May 31st, was the one against the Banca di Credito Popolare di Giugliano in via Aniello Palumbo, aboard an SH. In this case they used a box cutter and forced the cashier to open the door and hand over the money. They are also accused of receiving stolen goods, because they used a stolen car from a theft that occurred in Terzigno.
