The weather forecast for the next few days in Puglia by Lorenzo Badellino, of 3bmeteo.com
The African anticyclone is ready to trigger a new and intense heat wave towards southern Italy which will also involve Puglia in the next few days. The weather will remain essentially stable during the week, with mostly clear or slightly cloudy skies. Temperatures will increase day after day and will reach increasingly higher values, with the peak of the heat expected between Thursday and Saturday, when the climate will also become muggy.
In fact, at night the minimum temperatures will not fall below 24/26°C and will be locally higher. During the day the climate will become fiery and maximum values may reach and at times exceed 40°C in the hinterland, while cooler along the coast, mitigated by the sea surface.
In particular, maximum temperatures of up to 40/41°C are expected in Foggia, 37/39°C in Lecce, 33/35°C in Bari, 31/33°C in Brindisi. By the end of next week this intense African heat wave could finally stop, due to the entry of cooler currents from the northern quadrants which would progressively reduce temperatures.
