Murder in Bologna, a Ukrainian dead: compatriot arrested

Yesterday evening, the Bologna Flying Squad arrested a 38-year-old Ukrainian, with a police record, seriously suspected of having murdered a 40-year-old Ukrainian inside his home in via Ferrarese. The investigations were coordinated by the deputy prosecutor of Bologna Michele Martorelli. The 40-year-old was found on the evening of June 14th lying on a chair with various wounds on his body and head. Taken to the Maggiore hospital where he underwent emergency surgery with a trauma to his belly resulting in the removal of his spleen and skull fracture, he died yesterday morning.

During the search of the house, the Scientific Police detected some latent fingerprints attributable to the arrested man, whose participation in the brutal crime was also confirmed by the meticulous acquisition of some cameras present which immortalized his arrival in the building where the victim lived, armed with a blunt object, and the subsequent escape after a few minutes with some obvious traces of blood along his arm.

The elements provided allowed the public prosecutor to issue an arrest order for the crime of murder against the Ukrainian citizen found in the Pilastro area on board a vehicle used by him. Taken to the police station after the necessary searches, he was subjected to interrogation and, after arrest, he was taken to the local prison. The motive can be traced back to passionate reasons.
