National youth teams on stage in Terni, in view of the European Championships

There is less than a month left until the European Youth Championships, scheduled in Malmö, Sweden, from Friday 12th to Sunday 21st July, and the national Under 19 and Under 15 women’s and men’s teams are engaged in preparatory stages.

The Under 19s Giacomo Allegranza (Cus Torino), Matteo Fantoni (Polisportiva PG Frassati), Giacomo Izzo (Milano Sport Tennistavolo) and Federico Vallino Costassa (Marcozzi Cagliari), under the guidance of Ivan Malagoli, assisted by the sparring team Peter Fedotov and Mattias Mongiusti ( Milano Sport Tennistavolo), carried out their activity from 10 June to yesterday at the Technical Center of the PalaTennistavolo “Aldo De Santis” in Terni. Two more work periods will follow from 24 to 30 June and from 4 to 10 July (with Francisco Sanchi, of the Polisportiva Bagnolese, sparring in Fedotov’s place).

The Under 19s Nicole Arlia (Centro Sportivo Aeronautica Militare), Miriam Carnovale and Francesca Seu (Muravera Tennistavolo), Sofia Minurri (Tennistavolo Torino) and Irene Moretti (CIATT Prato) are training in the same venue, with the coach Giuseppe Del Rosso, the sparring Valentina Roncallo and Olga Vishnyakova (Muravera Table Tennis) and the physical trainer Massimo Oliveri. The meeting will end on Wednesday 19 June and the following one will take place from 25 July to 1 July (with Nikoleta Stefanova, of the Castel Goffredo Table Tennis team, sparring in Vishnyakova’s place).

Also present in Terni these days until June 21st are the Under 15s Sofia Episcopo, Federica Interlandi and Gioia Picu (Tennistavolo Casamassima 2020), Marina Misceo (Circolo Tennistavolo Molfetta) and Laura Pinna (Tennistavolo Sassari), entrusted to the coach Rossella Scardigno. The other two stages will be from 27 June to 2 July and from 6 to 10 July (in which Episcopo will not participate).

The Under 15s Giulio Campagna (CIATT Prato), Nicholas Famà (Tennistavolo Silver Lining) and Erik Paulina and Francesco Trevisan (Sportni Krozek Kras), with the coach Emmanuele Delsante and the sparring Nicola Caleffi (Tennistavolo San Polo), carried out a first phase of preparation from 7 to 9 June in Sgonico (Trieste) and will meet again soon in Terni.
