The match was broadcast on Rai 1 and got it recorded 10,386,000 spectators, with a share of 55.7%, becoming the most watched program of the evening. Adding the contribution of Sky (1,144,000 viewers and 6% share) the balance rises to 11,520,000 spectators and 61.7% share.

Three years ago, the match against Turkey recorded a higher number of spectators: 14,302,000 people glued themselves in front of the television, totaling a 56.9% share. A number, therefore, higher in absolute terms, but lower in terms of the evening’s share (more people were connected to TV overall).
Looking at another event of great national importance, such as the Sanremo Festival, the comparison between the two debut evenings was very similar, but it rewarded the Azzurri. The Festival recorded a lower number of spectators (10,561,000 people in front of the TV), but a higher share of 65.1%.
