Having reached the final stages, the project for the new Cagliari Calcio stadium is starting to see the light . And not only for the endorsement received from the new mayor Massimo Zedda two days ago (“there were errors made on the urban planning variant, now the process is at an advanced stage, after the evaluation of the economic-financial plan the project will be able to go to tender »). tomorrow morning Tommaso Giulini’s company will present to the Municipality the additions requested by the Region (Environment Department which must give the Fear, the new name of the environmental impact assessment): this is the last (formal) step before the convocation of the Decision Services Conference in August. From that moment, at most three months, therefore in November, the Fear could arrive which will enable the city council to declare the public utility of the work at the beginning of 2025 .
If these times are respected, the international tender will start in February (the Municipality will do it) and in mid-2025 we will be able to start demolishing the Sant’Elia and building the new stadium .
