Two months ago Loredana Bertè wanted her on her team at «The Voice Generations». And she, Gaia Gentile, the singer-songwriter from Bari who is making her way in the world of Italian music, reached the final of the RaiUno reality show, winning over audiences and critics. On Sunday 16 June (9pm) the artist will be the great protagonist of an anthological concert in the cloister of San Domenico, in Molfetta, with the Oles Pop Orchestra directed by Giacomo Desiante, an appointment included in the Kaleidos ’24 season designed by Pietro Laera for the Valente Musical Foundation.

The evening entitled «Nel blu» is entirely dedicated to the Apulian song and authors of yesterday and today, both by birth and by origin, from Domenico Modugno to Astor Piazzolla, the father of the «tango nuevo» who had Tranese origins, just like the singer-songwriter Ron, also the recipient of a significant tribute. There will also be tributes to Emma Marrone and Mario Pasquale Costa, the composer from Taranto who, based on verses by the poet Salvatore Di Giacomo, wrote the music for masterpieces of Neapolitan song such as «Era de maggio» and «Luna nova» at the height of the Belle Époque. And we will listen to hits by Mietta, Al Bano and Lucio Dalla, who in Puglia, particularly on the Tremiti Islands, had established his “buen retiro” by taking inspiration for many songs from seaside places particularly dear to him.

Among other things, the event will be embellished with a sculptural installation consisting of three creations with a high artistic and sartorial content by the Gruppo Stile De Virgilio atelier of Molfetta, which with its creations made the catwalk on the red carpets of the Venice Film Festival Venice and the Rome Film Festival. A touch of class for an evening of “music & fashion” with one of the most promising voices of Italian song, twenty-two years old on July 27th and already five years old on the path to a high-level artistic career.

In fact, Gaia Gentile began as a professional at just seventeen years old, both as a soloist and in vocal groups and orchestras, participating in concerts and festivals all over the world, from England to Thailand, from Argentina to Algeria. The general public noticed her during her participation in the “Dancing with the Stars” program hosted by Milly Carlucci on RaiUno. But the singer-songwriter from Bari obtained much further visibility precisely through the small screen as a guest on Caterina Balivo’s broadcasts, just as she was experimenting in the theater with the show «Gaia Gentile…ma non tanto!», in which she could give vent to to his own extravagant personality with a transversal homage to the great Italian singer-songwriters with whom he has already had the opportunity to collaborate despite his young age, from Caparezza to Vinicio Capossela.

Two years ago the album “Tanto tutto passa” was published, entirely signed by her also as an author, welcomed by notable public and critical success and accompanied by an extraordinary impact on social media, with millions of views and hundreds of thousands of listens of his songs. So, two new singles, in 2023 «Non sei stati un caso» and this year «Senza te», coinciding with the participation in «The Voice Generations», an important showcase for an artist destined to grow further and very quickly.
