The capital of Pavia could have a green delegation. The request was made by the Cittadini per Pavia list during the consultations launched by the new mayor Michele Lissia in view of the formation of the council.
“We thought there was no point in giving problems to the newly elected mayor – explains the list leader and elected councilor Roberto Rizzardi – So we brought proposals and talked to him about a green delegation. We didn’t place constraints by asking for a department, we talked to him about someone who deals with technological innovation, who is attentive to planting, urban redevelopment and ecological transition. Only in this way can we have a city projected into the future”.
From the moment he was elected, the mayor heard from all the parties in the coalition to decide together what the next city government should look like. The first round ended yesterday and from Monday we could start taking stock. “Among the first problems to be addressed – adds Rizzardi – is the urban hygiene contract and decorum. Furthermore, the Pgt issue must be addressed because we are in a dangerous stalemate”. And precisely on this point the network of committees, created to analyze the variant to the Territorial Government Plan, met the other evening and celebrated the failure to approve it. “Now we are waiting for the cancellation of the variant to really move on and deal with something else: we have many ideas and dreams”, they commented.
Michele Lissia meanwhile wanted to send a message to all citizens to thank them for the vote that led to his election in the first round. “One of the first projects to which we will dedicate our attention – he anticipates – will be the start of the process to have a new municipal swimming pool in the shortest possible time, a space for sport and leisure, a symbol of rebirth for the community, and point meeting. Another fundamental step will be the construction of a new school in Pavia Ovest, relieving the traffic on the Minerva”. Lissia also intends to revive the neighborhood committees: “They will be the beating heart of our city, ensuring that your voices are always heard. I will establish a permanent moment of listening in the Municipality dedicated to citizens who want to come and talk to us”.
