Reggio Emilia, 16 June 2024 – Secondary school state exams have begun countdownTomorrow (Monday 17 June) will be held plenary meetings in all high schools and on Wednesday we start with the first test: the Italian writing.
According to data from the provincial school office, a Reggio and province, 3,888 students are studying for their high school diploma. There are around 45 external candidates who passed the preliminary tests out of 80 required. There are 103 commissions made up of 3 internal commissioners, three external commissioners (a number that varies in some commissions) and an external president. The total number of commissioners is around 630. The provincial school director, Paolo Bernardireassures: “At the moment all the commissions are covered, except one for which a president must be appointed, a task that falls to the provincial school office, once the availability included in the regional list has been exhausted.
THE external commissioners they have all been nominated, but, like every year, renunciations and related replacements will be possible. The commissioners are assigned according to an algorithm and are regionally appointed. It may happen that there are waivers, for example, if a commissioner is assigned to a province that he has difficulty reaching, we are already organized at a territorial level. We have to try to ‘fill the holes’ compared to availability, which are given directly to us. Historically we are very fast in these operations.”
The organizational meeting on the state exam for presidents was held on June 11 and 12 via video conference. This year, in addition to the digital portfolio, the children had to complete their own in each class, from first to fifth ‘Masterpiece’: an experience that they believe is important beyond and beyond school.
As Paolo Bernardi explains: “For the ‘Masterpiece’, everything is explained to you on the ministry’s website, but it must be underlined that nowhere in the ministerial ordinance on state exams does the word ‘Masterpiece’ appear, least of all as a central element of the oral interview”.
Bernardi adds that “as regards the use of smartphones or technological watches for the use of artificial intelligence and links to Internet, there will be no big changes compared to the past. In any case, I hope that young people will take this commitment with due seriousness, they must know that whoever is caught with the unauthorized use of unauthorized devices will immediately see finish your exam. This year the presidents will be particularly be careful to these aspects. It must be said that it is the first year, after a long time, that a completely regular exam has taken place throughout the Region, including Ravennawhere I am regent, which was devastated by the flood last year”.
