PESCARA. Prevent and combat illegal gambling. This is the purpose of the structured action plan for controlling the territory of the province of Pescara shared by the provincial commander of the Guardia di Finanza, Colonel Antonio Caputoand by the director of the Monopolies office for Abruzzo, Stefania Provini.
The coordination meeting was held in recent days in the Monopolies office precisely for the full valorisation of institutional synergies, «thereby achieving», we read in the note from the Monopolies office, «a consolidation of collaborative relationships, mutual and complementary support between the two Administrations, in order to combat illegality in the gaming sector”.
During the meeting, as mentioned, a structured action plan was shared for the control of the territory of the province of Pescara for the prevention and fight against illegal gaming. On this occasion, Colonel Caputo underlined that «for the Guardia di Finanza, the commitment in the operational sector of gaming and betting represents an important priority within the framework of actions aimed at guaranteeing ever higher levels of economic-financial security» .
«This is in the knowledge», the colonel remarked, «that the pathological phenomena connected to this sector are often contiguous to the forms of infiltration of crime, including organized crime, into the fabric of the legal economy of the territory».
In this regard, director Provini reiterated that «collaboration between Monopolies and the Financial Police in the context of controls on games and betting is a common objective in consideration of the specific skills and professionalism of the personnel involved in the activity of combating crimes».
