PERUGIA – Let’s get back to talking about Franco Venanti who, as we have always maintained, would leave his legacy alive, present, beyond and beyond his physical absence. What he left us was so profound. So, there you have it Wednesday 19 June the book will be presented at the Palace of the province of Perugia at 5.30 pm “Heart by brush – A cardiologist and a painter compared” Bertoni Publisher which he co-authored with Mario Timio.
THE BOOK
“In a mutual interview – we read in the presentation of the volume – a cardiologist, Mario Timio, and a painter from Perugia, Franco Venanti, confront each other. The result is an image of the healthy and sick heart that Venanti introduces into the circuit of his artistic production with values that take on various interpretations. Thus we have the heart that beats with love in many of its little cupids that sail in an ether of fantasy; there are cardiac images that express joy and pain in which the artist’s brush penetrates the soul of those who observe them. The wrinkles and physical decay of an old body are brought to the canvas, which however are paired with the wisdom and experience that exudes from every part of the body. When the cardiologist speaks of a troubled heart, the painter paints it dilated and suffering, in a symbolism that only Venanti can express in his dreamlike art. In short, the book represents a synthesis between what the cardiologist diagnoses and treats and what the painter translates into art with his imagination and talent.”
