A 40-year-old of Ukrainian origin is died today at the Maggiore hospital in Bologna following an attack suffered last night near Via Ferrarese, on the outskirts of the capital. According to an initial reconstruction, the man was arrested around 9.40pm on Friday evening found unconscious at home from the roommate. He had a deep head wound.

The victim’s name was Roman Matvieiev and he was a bricklayer. It was the roommate who called the boy’s mother and called for help: the man was rushed to the Maggiore hospital, where, however, the doctors were unable to do anything for him. He died this morning.

The 40-year-old’s neighbors said they having heard an argument and some commotion from the apartment on the first floor of the building in via Ferrarese where the victim had lived for a few years. The fact is being investigated by a mobile team, coordinated by prosecutor Michele Martorelli, who is trying to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the facts and track down the person responsible for the brutal attack. At the moment, according to what we learn, no hypothesis is ruled out. Among the details that are taken into consideration there would be the door of the condominium in which the man lived and which it would have been forced: a circumstance that could have to do with the aggression.

The sixteen-year-old who disappeared in Bologna and was also searched for in Piedmont has been found: “He has returned home”

The body of the 40-year-old was reportedly found in the entrance corridor of the house, in a pool of blood, with splashes also on the wall. The roommate who raised the alarm has already been interviewed at length by the police.

The victim had lived for three-four years in the apartment owned by his mother, who works as a carer in a family in Bologna. The man had no prior record. The roommate, as it turns out, lives in the cellar of the apartment.
