Race for 268 competitors, this is how the 2024 edition of Tra Ville e Giardini in Varese went

Well 268 competitors have completed the 11th edition of the Between Villas and Gardens, confirmed once again as one of the most popular evening events in the national Fidal calendar. vThe Varese race saw droves of runners taking part in its 11.5 km course through the streets of the city, with departure and arrival at the Giardini Estensi from where the non-competitive 7.8 km race also started. vA city on the move, with the first lights of the evening as a backdrop and the streets free of the usual city traffic, allowing those who live there to experience a different evening. A race that had an absolute dominator in Federico Pisani (Team Attivasalute) who in 40’14 ”made the gap behind him. Federico Scabini (Accademiatletica) managed to limit the gap to 44″, third place for Luca Ponti (Atl.3V) at 2’23” keeping Mattia Raimondi (Recastello Radici Group) off the podium by 12″. In the women’s field, the success of Francesca Canale (Athlon Runners) was even clearer, as in 51’24” she prevailed by 1’22 over Elena Soffia (Cassano Magnago marathon runners) and by 1’32” over Federica Agnetti (Oxygen Triathlon).
