Tuscan healthcare, Nursing Up: Innovative mobility initiative between companies in the Tuscany region

Florence: Innovative mobility initiative between companies in the Tuscany region for healthcare personnel in the Il sector Nursing Up Toscana union, represented by Dr. Nicola Lunetti, regional secretary, is pleased to announce an important agreement with the Tuscany and Eastern Regionr for the implementation of a voluntary mobility project aimed at healthcare personnel. This initiative, strongly supported by the union, aims to facilitate the reconnection of workers to their place of residence, improving their living conditions and reducing the difficulties linked to the distance from the workplace. In line with GRT resolution n.827 of 17 July 2023, voluntary mobility will be centralized on Estar and will concern healthcare sector staff.

The mobility requests, which can be submitted exclusively online, will give rise to rankings by destination company, considering specific areas for local companies. The criteria for drawing up the rankings will include length of service, personal and family situation, and registered residence, with scores assigned based on these factors. “After a period of emergency hiring during the pandemic, many workers find themselves operating far from their families,” says Dr. Nicola Lunetti. “This agreement is a fundamental step in restoring normality and improving the well-being of our healthcare professionals.” The call, which will be published by Estar and will remain open for 30 days, will allow employees to indicate their preference for only one SSR company. Companies will accept applications following the rankings, with a acceptance percentage of no less than 5% of the overall hiring capacity for personnel in the sector. The granting of authorization for transfers must take place within 4 months, ensuring efficient management of resources. “The objective is to publish the annual notice by the end of May, with the implementation of a system that promotes mobility without creating inefficiencies,” explains Dr. Lunetti.

“This measure, together with others under discussion, such as the increase in additional wages, represents an important evolution in healthcare personnel management policies.” Nursing Up Toscana will continue the dialogue with the Region to ensure that further measures to improve working conditions are implemented. “We are determined to pursue concrete solutions that promote the quality of life of our workers,” concludes Dr. Lunetti.
