Music Festival: the 30th edition in Benevento

The “Nicola Sala” Conservatory is preparing to celebrate the European Music Festival 2024, which will be held on 21, 22 and 23 June. This edition, the thirtieth, will be dedicated to musical bands.
During the three days of celebration, Benevento will be animated by a series of events which will see 400 musicians performing in 60 concerts spread across 8 different locations, offering 200 hours of music. The program will range across a wide range of genres, spanning from classical to contemporary, from jazz to pop, passing through classical Neapolitan song. Over the three days, as many great events will take place at Pizza Roma, starting at 9pm. On the 21st “L’oro di Napoli” will be staged, a new show by the Neapolitan classical song class, coordinated by Maestro Luigi Ottaiano; on the 22nd it will be the turn of a tribute to Armando Trovajoli, created by the Conservatory Big Band coordinated by Maestro Ferruccio Corsi; on the 23rd the famous singer Sarah Jane Morris will be a special guest alongside the Big Band, coordinated by Maestro Elisabetta Serio.

Among the scheduled activities, two prestigious masterclasses stand out: Mariella Nava on 21 June and Sarah Jane Morris on 23 June.

Furthermore, on June 21st, Mariella Nava will be a special guest at the concert “Napoli la canzone, Parigi la chanson”, which will be held at the Teatro Comunale of Benevento at 8 pm. The concert will be curated by teachers Stefania Del Prete, Marco Francini and Alfina Scorza , with the participation of the pop rock singing students of the Conservatory.
