Just over a month after the premature and sudden death of the assistant chief of the local police of Parma Gianluca Cagozzi at just 57 years old, the colleagues who collaborated most with him want to remember him and ideally embrace Chiara, the brother Marco, to his mother Italina and to all those who loved him.
«Gianluca left us in silence – the local police officers of Parma wrote in a letter -, with the confidentiality that characterized him. He arrived among us at the end of 2001 and over time we got to know his sensitivity and discretion which won us over. The beginnings, as for all of us, in the streets of the historic center, then the service in the Montanara district, finally, thanks to his courteous way of addressing the public, the transition to the operations center and the Front Office to provide information to citizens and at the same time to manage problems relating to sanctions directed at road users, who often came to the local police command in anger and then left, thanks to its mediation, with a animosity reconciled”.
And so the letter continues: «We will remember him, Gianluca, with his melancholy smile, even when, during the brief chats on patrol together, we talked about his passions such as tennis or football, or his search for spirituality expressed on his recent pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela.”
