FANO – The Bishop of Fano Monsignor Andrea Andreozzi summoned journalists to the Diocesan Pastoral Center to communicate, in person, the new appointments almost a year after his episcopal ordination and his entry as pastor of the Diocese of Fano Fossombrone Cagli Pergola. During the press conference, the Bishop also addressed the issue of the return to the Diocese of Don Giacomo Ruggeri, who twelve years ago was definitively sentenced to one year and 11 months in prison for sexual abuse of a minor. “Don Giacomo will make himself available for whatever is asked of him in collaboration with the other priests and pastoral collaborators in the area – said Monsignor Andreozzi – I ask the community to be able to welcome him in an atmosphere of brotherhood, family, in the logic of reconciliation, of a presence at home. I ask you to take into account what can be a path of reconciliation, openness, brotherhood. Don Giacomo made himself very available, in the simplicity of those who wish to return to a context of family and community, to return to being one person who relates with serenity to a story that is not just the past, but the present and the future”. The vicar general, Don Marco Presciutti, whom the Bishop thanked for the service performed and the welcome received, passes the baton to Don Filippo Fradelloni (born 11 November 1977) and Mauro Amati takes over from Don Luca Santini as secretary of the Bishop . Furthermore, the four new vicars forane were appointed: Don Sauro Profiri (born 12 February 1968), parish priest of Apecchio, will represent the Vicarage of Cagli – Pergola; Don Gabriele Micci (born 3 October 1985), parish priest of Montefelcino, will be the vicar forane for the Fossombrone area and has replaced Don Vincenzo Solazzi as the new director of the Office for Ecumenism and Interreligious Dialogue; Don Federico Tocchini (born 21 July 1968), parish priest of Rosciano – Centinarola, is vicar forane for the Fano area, while Don Matteo Pucci (born 12 September 1984), parish priest of Calcinelli, was appointed for the Valmetauro area . Don Marco Presciutti, former parish administrator of Pianello di Cagli, will be the new parish priest of Pergola, Frontone, Serra Sant’Abbondio, supported by Don Giacomo Ruggeri, as collaborator, and by Don Marco Rulli (born 15 October 1985), who was also appointed director of the Diocesan Missionary Center at the end of Marco Gasparini’s mandate. Change of parish priest also in Mondavio. Don Michele Giardini will carry out his full-time service as director of the Diocesan Caritas, leaving the baton to Don Marco Moschini (born 16 January 1958). Bishop Andrea will constitute the new presbyteral council, which will be made up of approximately 15 priests and religious representing the Diocesan Clergy, and the new college of consultors now represented by Don Giorgio Giovanelli, Don Luciano Torcellini, Don Giuseppe Tintori, Don Giuseppe Marini, Don Marco Presciutti, Don Ugo Ughi, Don Enrico Secchiaroli and Don Luca Santini. The Diocesan Pastoral Council will also need to be renewed.
