Thus Admiral Nunzio Martello, coordinator of the two “Technical Tables” for the dynamic crossing between Sicily and Calabria and for the safety of navigation also in view of the construction phase of the Bridge, defined the agreement reached between the representatives of the institutions , local authorities, municipal administrations and local transport companies in Messina and Reggio.
A series of agreements, the result of the efforts made in recent months, which are starting to find concrete outcomes, starting from direct connections between the Messina side and the “Tito Minniti” airport in Reggio which, after the activation of new flights by Rayanair, is experiencing a moment of important relaunch, increasingly becoming the airport in the Strait.
From today, and until September 30th, the new timetables for the departures and arrivals of fast transport between Messina-Reggio and Reggio-Messina come into effect. “Liberty Lines” has strengthened its services, even if some commuters from Messina have expressed doubts and concerns about some of the choices made. The routes were also designed for the connections of the new flights that depart from the “Minniti” and connect Reggio with Turin, Venice, Bologna, Tirana.
Departure times from Messina on weekdays are as follows: 5.25am; 6.25; 7.15; 8.05; 8.40: 9.25; 10.20; 11.25; 12.15pm; 13; 2.10pm; 15; 15.55; 4.30pm; 5.30pm; 6.10pm; 7.40pm; 20.55; 10.55pm. From Reggio to Messina: 6.15; 6.50; 8.05; 9.30; 10.05; 11.10; 12.15pm; 13.50; 15; 15.50; 4.45pm; 5.20pm; 17.55; 6.20pm; 19; 8.30pm; 9.45pm; 11.45pm.
