Burraco and beach tennis tournaments, footvolley and beach volleyball challenges and above all the running race on the beach, kissed by the first light of dawn: this is the rich program of events that combine sport and solidarity organized by the volunteers of Rimini for Mutokothe association that has supported numerous charitable projects in Zimbabwe and Italy for over twenty years.
The goal of the summer tournaments for 2024 is to raise funds to help the Mutoko hospital directed by our fellow citizen Dr. Massimo Migani, in the purchase of medicines and laboratory reagents (we hope to reach the figure of 50,000 euros) and bring to Italy approximately 20 children within the project “Heart operation” so that they can be operated on.
Furthermore, this year too Rimini For Mutoko helps two Rimini companies, “Grow up together” for the implementation of a project aimed at promoting the employment of people in fragile conditions and the St. Anthony’s Table of Rimini, which offers meals to families in difficulty.
The fundraising program is always very extensive, as is the calendar of initiatives which kicked off on 3 and 5 May with two burraco and padel tournaments in Igea Marina.
Sunday 23 June the calendar comes to life with the tournament beach tennis male and female at beaches 148-149 “Frontemare”.
The June 28 the tournament starts at Bagni 65-66 of Torre Pedrera Beach volley boys aimed at the Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16 categories.
The 13 And July 14th Still beach tennisfemale and male, at bathrooms 18, 24 and 25.
The July 20th we move to Bellaria with the beach volleyball tournament at the East Pole while the August 7 it’s up to the FootVolley at baths 53-54-55 in Rimini.
Highly anticipated, as always, the RunRise scheduled Saturday 20 July, the queen of walks at dawn in the Rimini summer which in 2019 reached a record number of over 1,700 registered participants: this year too a population of runners and walkers will meet at sunrise (5.46 am) at bathing area 34 by the sea to travel together in solidarity for 3 km or 6.5 km (for the fittest), with stages and stations dedicated to postural gymnastics, yoga, pilates, shiatsu. Along the way, RunRise participants will be escorted into the water by SUPs, canoes and swimmers. An evocative and perfect scenario for unforgettable photos. Upon arrival, the traditional refreshment with coffee, drinks and sweet delights for everyone, to recharge with energy and start the day together.
The July 27starting from 8.30 pm, the big one is scheduled at “Campo Don Pippo”. burraco tournament in which last year almost 200 participants challenged each other to the last card.
As always, heartfelt thanks must be addressed to the over 80 businesses in our area and to the associations who have never failed to give us their support and trust, giving us gadgets, prizes and financial support or providing their services for free.
Among these, a particular mention goes to the friends of Pleasure Beachto companies SeaTech Of Emmediemme, Work, Gardini & Raimondi, Amareina ice cream shop and this year also to InUnUp of Milan who completely supported the graphics and production of our celebratory t-shirts.
A heartfelt thank you also to the public administrations – Municipality of Rimini and Province of Rimini – who have always ensured their support for this project of sport, entertainment and solidarity in Rimini, home of hospitality and quality of life.
And of course we cannot fail to mention the many private individuals who participate in our events and contribute with their donations and, last but not least, all the volunteers of the association who make their time and energy available: the Team of Spapplati” never stops and is involved throughout the year in charitable initiatives and events to raise awareness and/or fundraise.

July will be a month of celebration to be spent together, at the seaside and outdoors, in the name of sport and our well-being and that of those who need it most. We will be there with our energy and enthusiasm, you can’t miss it!
