The G7 closed in Puglia, Giorgia Meloni’s assessment: «We have shown that the summit is not a closed fortress» – The video

«In recent days Italy has been at the center of the world» says Giorgia Meloni at the conclusion of the G7 in Puglia in a video released on social media. «The eyes of the world have been on us. It was a great responsibility and I am proud of how our nation managed, once again, to amaze and set the course.” The Prime Minister takes stock of the summit in the Borgo Egnatia resort, in Fasano, where today 14 June the works under the Italian Presidency ended with the final document: «We have adopted the final declaration, an extremely significant document which contains the many commitments that the G7 has decided to undertake, concrete, real commitments, which concern decisive issues for our present, for our future and on which the G7 has reaffirmed its unity of intent, its unity”

Meloni then thanked the leaders who participated in the summit, listing them all: «I thank Joe, Emmanuel, Rishi, Olaf, Justin, Fumio, Ursula and Charles for the great contribution they gave to the success of this initiative and I also thank the leaders of nations and international organizations that participated in the outreach session, one of the largest and most representative ever, which made this summit even more significant. The G7 thus confirmed that it is not a sort of closed fortress that must defend itself from something or someone, but an offer of values that opens up to the world that wants to build shared development and growth.”
