BOLOGNA, 14 JUNE – Two million euros awarded in one year through the House of Emerging Technologies – Cte Cobo of Bologna to 62 startups and innovative entrepreneurial projects from 12 regions, from North to South Italy. This is the result announced by the same infrastructure at the “Wmf – We Make Future” 2024 underway at BolognaFiere. Cte Cobo, a project of the Municipalities of Bologna and Ravenna financed with FSC 2014-20 funds from Mimit, has so far involved more than 400 companies, incubators, accelerators, competence centers and professionals. The goal is to bring the number of beneficiary startups and businesses to 80 by the end of 2024.

“Bologna confirms itself as a laboratory of ideas and technological innovations – explained Massimo Bugani, councilor of the Municipality of Bologna for digital innovation, cyber security, civil protection – and is putting the many professionalisms and experiences of our territory to good use” . The aspect of greatest interest for Bugani is the fact that thanks to technologies “people’s lives are improved”. During the flood, for example, “the Municipality of Bologna, which is among the very few in Italy to collect information on citizens’ health, was able to use it to bring people with mobility difficulties to safety first”.
