The municipal administration of Messina announces the publication of the notice for the submission of expressions of interest aimed at local economic operators who intend to participate in the 2nd edition of the Meeting of the Tourism of the Strict, which will be held in Messina from June 23rd to 26th. The announcement, approved with Council Resolution No. 239 of 6 June, is aimed at activating a comparison between the municipal administration and local operators through participation in the work of the event, through the presentation of their productions within the scope of the food and wine and agri-food of the local area. To participate in the meeting, interested parties must express an expression of interest and the consequent opportunity to offer and propose their services and products according to the methods a and b below, and must be in possession of suitable requirements in the food and wine and agri-food fields:
a) B2B meetings: the buyer (guest as part of the Meeting initiative) is the person interested in knowing the producers and suppliers of local services useful for the construction of tourist/cultural packages with Messina as their destination. The local economic operator (seller) will have the opportunity to present their offer of services by expressing interest in possible contacts.
The operators’ scope of activity will mainly be that of hospitality, transport, food and wine and entertainment/cultural activities. The expression of interest in participation must be forwarded by completing and sending the specific form available at the link https://forms.gle/SmNVSfBVXABte2dw8, followed by confirmation of receipt and communication of the booking time.
b) During the days of the meeting, local food and wine producers will be able to express their willingness to present/offer their products. This “showcase” of food and wine production can be carried out compatibly with the planning of the Meeting’s activities. Therefore, any availability must be agreed upon by sending a specific communication via email to [email protected].
Requests to participate may be submitted: for the activities referred to in letter a) by 12.00 on 21 June 2024; for the activities referred to in letter b) by 12.00 on 18 June 2024.
Expressions of interest will be evaluated by the Personal and Business Services Department.
