Yesterday evening, Thursday 13th June, an extraordinary inter-force service was carried out to control the territory, aimed at combating crimes against people, property and urban decay, integrated with the control of public establishments and any customers present inside and outside of them.
The services, which mainly affected the Umbertino district and the streets of the historic center, saw the involvement of the personnel of the State Police of La Spezia, with the reinforcement of the Liguria Crime Prevention Department, of the Guardia di Finanza with its anti-drug dog unit, and of the local police.
In particular, during the checks, an unaccompanied foreign minor was identified and taken to the community from which he had previously left.
Furthermore, during the checks carried out in some city premises, the operators found certain administrative irregularities, such as, among others, the administration of food and drinks without the required authorisation, the failure to regularize the restaurant’s sign, the opening hours of opening to the public and of the prices of the products, shortcomings which led to the adoption of the foreseen sanctions.
Overall, twenty people were identified during the evening and high sanctions were imposed against three neighborhood businesses and a bar.
