An even more widespread separate waste collection for ever greater urban decoration. This is the objective of the extension of the door-to-door waste collection service wanted by the Municipality of Pergola in collaboration with Aset Spa.
From 1 July, in fact, the collection will also be complete in the areas surrounding the historic centre, where this type of service is already in place. Specifically, from that date also in via Gramsci, in Piazza della Repubblica and in part of viale Martiri della Libertà, viale Kennedy and via Marconi the home collection will no longer only concern dry and organic waste, but also glass, paper, plastic and metal.
The collection days for the various types of waste will be the same as those already foreseen in the eco-calendar of the historic centre: paper on Tuesday, organic waste on Tuesday and Saturday (to which Thursday is added in the summer months), plastic on Wednesday, dry on Thursday, while glass and metal packaging will alternate from Friday to Friday. It should be noted that, in the new streets affected, this scheduling will lead to a change of day – compared to today – for the collection of dry and organic waste.
By the end of June Aset Spa will deliver the new containers to all users included in the streets in question. Anyone who is not found on site at the time of delivery will receive a notice and will have to go to the Pergola Separate Waste Collection Center – in via 11 Settembre n° 12 (in San Biagio), on Wednesdays from 3pm to 6pm and on Saturdays from 9am to 12 – to collect the new bins.
Users are also informed that, by virtue of the activation of the full home service, the two ecological islands currently present in the areas in question will be removed. The one in Via Martiri della Libertà – currently in front of the sports field – will also be moved further south, while the ecological island in the car park in Viale Kennedy will remain in its place.
Aset Spa and the Municipality of Pergola thank the citizens for their usual collaboration, certain that they are making a significant improvement in terms of decorum for an increasingly livable and cleaner area.
